Can you imagine usefulness of the TV without cable connection ?  Just 25 years ago it was hard to believe that the largest company in the world would sell something that cant even touched - Software !  Similarly now images when the cost of connectivity will go down and options of connectivity would be wider then we can image today, who would spend money on design of software that will just run on a single PC ?

It will be hard to sell Application that are not Internet based tomorrow. Legacy Applications were good for a start when connectivity was not available but now the role of Application can be widened many folds without multiplying the budget.
